    In October 2014 the Company informed the market, with a material fact, the temporary suspension of the activities of MMX’s subsidiary MMX Sudeste Mineração S.A. - In Judicial Recovery, due to the business environment conditions. Since then, MMX Sudeste entered in Judicial Recovery and it is not operating.

     

    PORTO SUDESTE DO BRASIL S.A.

    Porto Sudeste do Brasil, formerly known as Superporto Sudeste, is a private port terminal of mixed use, dedicated exclusively to iron ore trades.
    MMX finalized the acquisition of Porto Sudeste do Brasil in May 2011, with a public exchange offer for the acquisition of its shares. Previously, the port belonged to LLX, the logistics company of the EBX Group.
    In February 2014, MMX concluded the negotiations for the sale of 65% of the Port Sudeste to the companies Trafigura and Mubadala. MMX currently holds 1.55% of the Porto Sudeste S.A. shares.
     
  • MMX CORUMBÁ MINERAÇÃO S.A. – IN JUDICIAL RECOVERY

    Located in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, an area with large reserves of high quality iron ore, the MMX Corumbá system started operations in September 2006. Currently, this system has an installed capacity to produce 1.5 million tons per year. This unit is in the process of leasing to Vetorial Mineração.
